Designated Fairway
- Pyeongtaek-Dangjin Port is located in the deep inside of Asan-man(bay). The fairway through the channel leading to Pyeongtaek-Dangjin Port is designated by the port regulations and fairway buoys with lights are established according to the boundaries of the fairway.
- Republic of Korea follows the IALA buoyage system type B. Therefore, when entering, an inbound vessel ship shall keep red color buoys on her starboard side.
- The buoyed fairway runs about 20 nautical miles from the buoy #1 to the inner harbor, and has curbs and a narrow channel whose narrowest width is less than 800meters. The experienced competent pilots and the VTS assist shipmasters for safe transit throughout the buoyed fairway.
